Serious question about vegas.

Is there any way to slow down the play speed of the video? not stretch the length, but like, when I click the play button in vegas it plays at normal speed. is there no way i could slow down the preview speed?

There's no way to slow the vid down without stretching it.
But, you can Ctrl-click one end of the video and stretch it outward. It you want it to sound low pitched, click on the audio, and press the left - key (and + to the pitch higher) to create the effect.
